Global Forever Stamps: $1.75 to Any Country, and the Limits
One Global Forever stamp, $1.75 as of July 12, 2026, mails a one-ounce letter from the United States to any other country. There is no per-country pricing to look up and no zone chart to consult. That flat rate is the entire appeal, and it is also where the limits hide.
One ounce, one letter, one price
USPS sets a single price for international letter mail instead of charging by destination, so a letter to Canada and a letter to Japan cost the same. The stamp is a Forever stamp in the same sense as the domestic one: whatever the international rate rises to later, a stamp you already own still covers a one-ounce letter abroad. Buy them now and the price is locked from your side.
Where the flat rate stops applying
The $1.75 covers a letter up to one ounce, and nothing beyond that. Cross any of these lines and you are into a different service with different pricing:
- Envelopes over one ounce need additional postage on top.
- Packages and parcels are priced by weight and destination, not by this stamp.
- Anything you want tracked needs a trackable service, which a Global Forever stamp does not provide.
- Rigid or oddly shaped envelopes can be surcharged as non-machinable.

An international postcard uses the same $1.75 stamp. There is no cheaper postcard rate for overseas mail, which catches people out who assume it mirrors the domestic split.
